Site & Facilities Manager joins Blue Abyss team
Blue Abyss has appointed Hugh Keir as Site & Facilities Manager. Hugh will be responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of all safety, security and facilities management for Blue Abyss.
Hugh began his career in the British Army where he served in the Parachute Regiment and was deployed to frontline roles in Afghanistan, Iraq and Northern Ireland. On leaving the forces, Hugh has worked in corporate health, safety and security management and is a Technical Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.
Most recently, Hugh was responsible for the corporate health and safety and day-to-day facilities management of 14 sites across in the UK and Ireland. He also directed security for the world’s fifth largest construction project, a $1billion oil and gas project in the Middle East.
We’re delighted to welcome Hugh on-board. Hugh is a meticulous safety and security manager and has a proven track record in applying strong planning, analytical and man-management skills,” says John Vickers, Managing Director, Blue Abyss.
As we prepare to build, equip and staff Blue Abyss, Hugh will be instrumental in ensuring the safety of contractors, staff and visitors in line with Health and Safety legislation and our own exacting standards.
